On shed in Halkapinar, we see Kreigs, G10s, G8s, a Stephenson and s Henschel 2-10-2, although by this time there wasn't much work for them, and some were in a very sorry state. These films were shot on 8mm live sound film. The camera was hand-held throughout, so apologies for some shaky sequences on full zoom. The file for this particular film has been compressed slightly for convenience, so is not as "smooth" as the others, but I hope the quality is acceptable.
In the 80s and 90s, these films would be shown to groups of railfans, and edited down to 20 minute reels. The images on this film are the "outtakes" - duplicate shots, or the scenes that didn't make it on to the showreel.
Digital transfer by Planet Television. Dedicated to my friend the late W.A.C. Smith, who accompanied me on this trip.
